What the size sticker means

Every pair of Locals has a size sticker on the front. The number on the sticker indicates the slippah length in inches, not your US shoe size. Because Locals are unisex, each pair fits a range of shoe sizes. Simply choose your usual US shoe size, and we’ll match you with the right fit.

My favorite slippahs! Super comfortable. Last for a solid year with heavy wearing them daily and to the beach. I skate in them sometimes so that’s why they don’t last too long. But my daughters and wife’s last for a couple years.

Pretty, but fits smaller than other same-size purchases, especially across the strap, so foot can't go all the way in.

Slippers have not been received

The slippers were ordered about 1 month ago and I still haven't received them. I emailed the company twice with no response back.

Not so comfortable

Pretty slippah, but sole is thin and a bit stiff. Fit is also not as good as the original ones.
Strap irritating between toes and across big toe joint.

I had to exchange, I mailed slippers back to them, I haven’t heard back from company it’s been a week. No response to my email. Hope to hear back

Locals slippahs are unisex and marked by platform size (i.e., length in inches), not US shoe size. We do list both—the Slippah Size and the corresponding US shoe size range—for easy reference. For example, 9.5–10.5 US Men / 11.5-inch Platform means this is a Size 11.5 platform that fits men's shoe sizes 9.5–10.5 US.

I'm a long time fan of Locals, but this is the first time I have purchased this type of slippah. It is not at all like the original slippah. Too rigid and not as comfortable immediately as the original, feel like they need to be broken in. I will still purchase my slippahs from you, but not this model again.

Locals slippahs do benefit from a break-in period for best comfort. With wear, the platforms tend to soften, stretch slightly, and conform to the shape of your foot—creating a custom feel over time. It’s common for them to feel firm at first, as each pair starts off as a blank canvas and gradually molds to your pressure points. In fact, the Stripe Collection is actually softer than the Originals once broken in.
